Registered Name: Prideful Limits
Nickname: Perry
Age: 3 [Y8]
Breed: Thoroughbred
Colour & Markings: Bay
Height: 16hh
Gender: Colt
Genetics:
Gender: XY
Coat: Ee, Aa
Surface: TT Dd
Personality: If there is one thing about this colt that you need to know is that, unlike his sire, he loves to run. He gets this desire to run from his dam and it really is great to watch this colt. All he does in the pastures is run, run, run and when he gets on the track it's clear he will be running because he enjoys it, not because he is being made, which certainly has to be a good thing for his chances. The only problem is that it means we sometimes have to bring him in from the pastures in order to prevent him from injuring himself.
Perry is a nightmare to handle. If you're a human then you are his number one enemy. He bites and kicks and does anything he can in order to show them who is boss. Certainly this boy knows his size and strength and is not afraid to use it. Due to this, we only allow the most experienced handlers to deal with Perry as we do not wish for anyone to be seriously injured. Furthermore, it appears the colt is more difficult with males. This has been put down to testosterone and seeing other males as competition.
The few times he has been on the track have shown a true marvel. It is almost as if he is in his own world. Only him and the others on the turf exist, nothing else matters. He wants nothing more than to win, and he has to be at the front from the very start to use his great power. From there it is all just fun for him. He hates to not get his own way, and he is only happy when he wins, but is slowly learning that this is not how the world works.
On The Track: Perry is a fussy animal and can be very awkward as a racehorse. He hates to gate and hates to feel boxed in. As a result when the gates open he flies out as quickly as he can. He is only really happy if he is able to lead the pack from the front, but will occasionally settle into second place if he feels that it will benefit him due to the other running out of steam. He tends to take up a fast pace and push hard throughout the race with the hope of putting space between him and the rest of the field. In he straight he gives a final push and uses his heart and spirit to carry him over the finish line. He has a great deal of guts and can take a lot of whipping.

Pedigree Notes: Out of G1 sire, Shiver Me Timbers, we are right to expect big things from him. If he takes after his sire, we can certainly expect some joyous moments in the future. His half brother, Buccaneer, reached G2 status before being retired to stud earlier this year.
Perry's mother was G3 Trust Limits, who had to retire early due to injury. Though lower on the achievement scale she loved to run which was hoped would out Shiver Me Timbers reluctance and it certainly has. She was G4 Horse of the year.
History: Born and bred at Twisted K Ranch, Perry had a good start to life. He was raised by his mother until he was one year old when he was separated. He performed well in prospect races and showed a great deal of promise. He was purchased from a Stride Of Perfection Stables sale by Alexia of Silver Stride Stables.
